Conrad leads the consultancy team to re-imagine the Mount Batten Watersports Centre in Plymouth
When the call came from ADG Architects to join a consortium (Aecom and JLL) bidding for the tender to re-imagine the Mount Batten Watersports Centre we knew this was once in a lifetime opportunity to transform and regenerate a leisure business that is located just 400m from the waterfront with access to calm and sheltered waters, rivers and of course the open ocean just beyond the breakwater. The flagship project is part of the new Plymouth Sound National Marine Park programme, the UK’s first marine park.
As the lead consultant, Conrad worked on the new vision and business model for the Centre along with Marc Nash, ADG, who produced some fantastic new drawings. The re-imagined Centre is currently with the client, Plymouth City Council and the Mount Batten Board. The work is due to start in 2025.
