Conrad founded Sport Environment because he is passionate about sport and the impact it can have on society. Our purpose is to help our clients tell their story, transform their people and build a culture that enables more people to prosper.
Since 2001, we’ve helped organisations transform their teams through experiential learning and brands to connect with audiences through sport. We collaborate with purpose-driven organisations where employees feel a strong sense of belonging. In these turbulent times, we can guide you to adapt, evolve, and grow.
Transformational change begins with understanding the present. What is the current morale within your organisation? What pressures exist, and who can shift the tempo? Does your team share a sense of belonging and value their work? How far might they go if empowered by a performance-driven culture that rewards success? Most importantly, does everyone share your vision for the future? We call this Six Sense Leadership.
The most important brands make us feel something, that’s often because they want to make change happen. They have a purpose. Purpose will help you build a community, it’s your story and it defines the way you operate – your values, your culture. Your customers will become loyal fans and they will stick with you through the tough times. We can help you find your purpose and build a community.
When Plymouth City Council put out a tender for someone to re-imagine the Mount Batten Watersports Centre, we answered the call. Working alongside award winning architects, ADG, the marine engineers, Aecom and the commercial team from JLL, we developed a new vision and business model for the Centre.
It’s rare that we simply consult on projects, for the simple reason that when we are engaged we like to commit and get some skin in the game. However, if what you need is more arms length approach we can work this way as well. You’ll still get the same energy as we enjoy collaborating with organisations that share a real sense of purpose.
Sixth Sense Leader:
"A leader’s intuition to sense what is needed at the right time to ensure people thrive during uncertainty."
Conrad Humphreys
When Motorola turned to us to create a programme that would inspire their leadership team based around an ocean race we knew we’d found our DNA. Combining real life stories from the BT Global Challenge with different leadership scenarios in a fun and experimental way proved to be a formula that would lead onto their involvement in a series of major global events around the world.
Since the time, we have worked with some brilliant innovators, sports teams and business leaders to shape our thinking around leadership. We’ve also had the chance to put it into practice in some of the harshest environments.
We call it Six Sense Leadership.

Bullitt Group are the UK based manufacturer of rugged mobile phones and tablets. Founded by three ex-Motorola executives in 2009, Bullitt manufactures, markets and distributes brand name phones for Caterpillar and Land Rover. Their purpose was to disrupt the rugged handset market and within just five years they had achieved global sales of £60 million.
In 2015, they wanted to launch their products into the sailing world and we helped them find a suitable product with a European reach in key markets. We negotiated the title sponsorship with the inaugural GC32 Series and activated the campaign in Germany, France, Italy, Austria and the UK.
In addition, under the Catphone Rugged Sailing campaign, Bullitt partnered with Conrad's ocean racing team for the Route du Rhum.
